Government of Pakistan through the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme promises 5 million additional housing units particularly for low income households without own home through real estate and construction industry.

The Housing and Community Development conference brings together people related to housing design and construction, real estate and land development, construction industry, community and social services, housing finance and housing infrastructure. However most important are the user groups and their aspirations and the environmental and cultural impacts of the mega project.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss and bring out the impact of the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme highlighting the benefits – economic, social and environmental to the low income households and the other stakeholders and caution on risks – delays, targeting, procedural difficulties and costs not yet factored in.
